ABOUT GENERALtrade
How GENERALtrade works.
Our model
GENERALtrade is designed as a direct crypto-to-Naira purchase service. When you sell supported BTC or USDT, you are selling directly to GENERALtrade. You are not matched with another customer.
From deposit to payout
- Complete your account registration, required identity verification and verified bank details.
- Deposit supported BTC or USDT using the deposit instructions provided inside your GENERALtrade account.
- After the required blockchain confirmations and compliance checks, cleared crypto is credited to your Available balance.
- Select Sell crypto and choose the amount of BTC or USDT you want GENERALtrade to purchase from your Available balance.
- Review the current GENERALtrade buy price, USD value, Naira payout and verified bank details before confirming.
- After confirmation, the selected crypto moves from Available to Held while the sale is processed.
- Once required controls are satisfied, the sale can be completed and the Naira payout is made to the verified bank account.
- You can track the transaction through your account and receive status notifications and emails where enabled.
Example
If your Available balance contains $500 worth of supported crypto and you choose to sell $480 worth, only the selected $480 value is placed on hold for that sale. The remaining balance stays Available unless another transaction affects it.
Supported assets
GENERALtrade currently presents BTC and USDT as supported assets, subject to the applicable service rules, compliance controls and regulatory permissions.
Customer protection and asset-source requirement
Keep your account information accurate, use only the deposit address and network shown inside your GENERALtrade account, and review all deposit details before sending crypto.
Only send BTC or USDT that you lawfully own or are authorized to send. For your protection and for compliance purposes, customers should send crypto from a personal wallet they control or, where applicable, from the wallet of someone they personally know and can substantiate the source of the asset. Do not send cryptocurrency from a wallet address connected to fraud, theft, scams, hacking, ransomware, money laundering, sanctions evasion, stolen funds, or any other unlawful activity. GENERALtrade may delay, hold, reject, restrict or report a transaction where an asset, wallet address, transaction history or source cannot be satisfactorily verified or where required by law or compliance controls.
Important
GENERALtrade's services, supported assets, rates, procedures and controls may change as the business develops and as applicable Nigerian legal and regulatory requirements evolve.
